I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to create a few assets for 2017's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, one of which was Cherry the Ancient Oven in Ancient Tech Lab! I created this prop entirely from scratch based on concept art given by Nintendo. Model was created in 3DS Max, textures were created with Quixel Suite 2, based on materials provided by Nintendo (to ensure consistency with other props in the game), and final prop and shader were completed in Maya in preparation for export to the game engine. The prop is featured prominently in the Ancient Tech Lab in the game, and is the prop used to create! It was super cool to be able to work on such an incredible game like BOTW, and such an iconic franchise like the Legend of Zelda, one of my favourites of all time!
