Hey all! I finally got around to finishing up my "game ready" model of my "Island Princess" character that I designed a number of years ago, based on my beautiful wife (see my "Island Princess Warrior" project https://flippednormal.artstation.com/projects/oOOn0O)!
I'm initially posting some screenshots and a turntable captured in UE5, but will add more images later, like wireframe, high res mesh, textures, etc. The design has changed a fair bit, mostly in the details (such as hairstyle, tapa cloth design, headdress, etc), but overall I feel it stayed pretty close to the original look and feel (and for those that are wondering, yes, my wife has had her hair look very similar to this before, with those same colors)! It's still a "work in progress," so I'm continuing to tweak the cloth simulation for the tapa "skirt" (that's why it still looks a bit "funky" in spots) and I still want to work on the textures a bit, but I'm pretty happy overall with how it's come along!
I also studied Epic's Fortnite characters very closely and tried my best to mimic their modelling and sculpting techniques, as I love their art style, and would love to see this character maybe make it onto the platform someday, perhaps through UEFN (if they ever allow character submissions in the future!). Let me know what you all think! :)
